Do you agree with how the Club is run? If not, contact a member of the Committee. The Club is run by a committee elected at the Annual General Meeting held at the end of each season. The current Committee is detailed below. You may want to consider being part of this team, helping to shape the future the Club and ensure its continuing success. You don't need any experience, just a willingness to participate and put something back into the Club. Contact Nick Crisp, or any other Committee member if you'd like to know more about what's involved.

Chairman...............Nick Crisp
Nick has played for Shene for almost 100 years. A midfield dynamo in the Archie Gemmill tradition (and with folical challenges to match), Nick has seen the Club through many changes, such as the introduction of crossbars and the offside rule. In recent years, Nick has made up for his declining pace, by taking up shouting. Almost anything can get Nick shouting during game - the ball not being pumped up correctly, goalkeepers staying on their line, players not tucking their shirts in. As a result, nobody doubts Nick's commitment and indeed, many say he should have been committed some time ago.

Secretary..............Terry Gazzard
Terry is the only living survivor of the famous 'Shower Incident' of 1987, when a female specatator became over-excited and joined the 5th XI in the shower after the game. Only once the water had gone cold - after three hours - did anyone decide to get out. Everyone except Terry caught pneumonia and died. Terry now referees and turns out for the Vets occasionally. He will give you a full description of the Shower Incident if you buy him beer.

Treasurer
..............Mark Stimpson
Mark has looked after the Club's finances for several years and as a result, now has villas in Rio de Janeiro, Antibes and Gstaad. Prematurely aged, he is confined to the Centre Half position, but more in the mould of Trevor Brooking than Razor Ruddock. His inability to head the ball or tackle makes him stand out in a defensive role.

Membership Secretary
...David Phillips
David supports Everton, but is nonetheless also very interested in football. However, he has now given up playing so that he can focus all his spare time on his favourite activities: sorting out the kit and compiling the questions for the football quiz at the Club's annual dinner.

Match Secretary........Nicola Hutin
Although she has scored fewer goals for the Club than any other Committee member (except Stimpson), Nicola is highly valued. In particular, she really loves it when games are postponed or venues changed at the last moment - captains please note.

1st XI Captain........Dan Spence
Dan's a high-flying executive in the Insurance business. His official title is 'Aggregate Analyst - Natural Catastrophe'. None of us know (or care) what an Aggregate Analyst is, but few can argue with Dan's aptitude for the role of Natural Catastrophe.

2nd XI Captain.........Dan Bailey
Dan is obsessed with the 2nd XI's league status and recently held the AFC President's family hostage in order to secure their promotion to Div 3 West. He now spends his time stalking UEFA officials, demanding a Champions League place.

3rd XI Captain.........Paul Wearmouth
Paul is a member of the Euromoney Mafia that is the backbone of the 3rd XI. Few players who are dropped to the 3's are ever heard from again. Little is known about Paul or the mysterious workings of the 3rd XI. It's likely that the 3rd team is in fact some sort of money-laundering scam. Paul is rarely seen in public and is normally represented at committee meetings by his Consiglieri, Andy Morris.

4th XI Captain.........Jeff Lloyd
A product of Shene's Youth Academy, Jeff is obsessed with Health. With Health & Efficiency to be more precise. When not looking at magazines, Jeff gives lessons in how to speak Scouse. Not too surprisingly (to those who know him), Jeff has sustained more injuries in bed than while playing football.

Veterans XI Captain....Ken Stack
Ken's youthful looks often lead to Vets' opposing teams questioning his credentials. In fact, Ken is 73, but his simple diet (beer and burgers) has protected him from the ravages of old age. Ken went to school with Julian Clary, which goes a long way to explaining his playing style.

Floor Member....Andy Morris
Andy is a goal-keeper and Villa fan, so it is no surprise that he is solid evidence of the club's Care in the Community programme. Coming from the West Midlands, he has a very high embarrassment threshold - he even turns out for the Vets occasionally.

Floor Member....Robert Wilox
Rob is a complete Celt (at least that's what I think people were saying). Gainfully employed in the acting profession, he sometimes oversteps the mark by encouraging team-mates to, 'Break a leg' as they warm up for matches. Got his big break in the 4th XI after a series of auditions, finally convincing Jeff with a stirring rendition of the soliloquy from the final act of Escape to Victory. Usually plays up front or in midfield, sometimes as third spear-carrier.
